Radio Resume – Get Your Message Heard

Clear Channel Radio is doing its part to help people get jobs by offering listeners an opportunity to have their credentials heard by thousands via a radio resume.

Twenty-one Clear Channel stations are participating.  Entrants need to visit the Web site for their local Clear Channel Radio station and fill out an entry form.  Five individuals will be selected each week to record a 30-second radio resume which will be played on the air.

What do you include in a radio resume?  If you’ve been in the market for a job for a while your “elevator speech” should be fine-tuned by now, so use that as a starting place.  Other items to consider including are: core qualifications, key accomplishments and unique skills.  Be sure to deliver your message with enthusiasm and professionalism.

Since your message will be heard by many, I think I’d step up a special phone number and/or email address, just to keep the crazies at bay.
