Don’t Forget to Send a Thank You Letter

 

So you applied for a job that’s a perfect fit with your qualifications and you had, in your opinion, a great interview.  Now what should you do?

Send the interviewer a thank you note

When?  Immediately after the interview.

Why?  Because a thank you letter:

1)      Reinforces your interest in the position.

2)      It keeps your name in the forefront of their mind.

3)      Gives you the opportunity to express your gratitude for the interviewer’s time.

4)      Provides you another opportunity to standout from the competition.

5)      Lets you remind the employer of the value you can add to the company.

6)      In case you neglected to address something in the interview, a letter gives you an avenue to express it.

7)      Showcases your written communication skills.
